Our Success Rate With the Boston Brace Original
We measure success by the curve correction we see from an in-brace X-ray. Our goal is to see at least a 50% curve reduction. For example, if the patient's initial Cobb Value is 30, an in-brace X-ray (with the brace on) should show the Cobb Value at 15. The chart below shows the average curve correction for thoracic, thoracolumbar, and lumbar curve locations in both single and double curves. You'll note that on more complex curves it is less likely to meet the goals, while lesser Cobb Values it's easier.

Improved Curve Correction Results with the Boston Brace 3D
While our curve correction results are excellent with the Boston Brace Original, they are even more positive with the Boston Brace 3D. For single thoracolumbar curves, the average curve correction is 62% for the Boston Brace 3D compared to 55% for the Boston Brace Original. For single thoracic curves, the average curve correction is 57% for the Boston Brace 3D compared to 52% for the Boston Brace Original. See the full results below.
