Boys Cranial Growth Charts
Understanding the risk factors for Plagiocephaly and proper identification of asymmetry is essential in the diagnosis and management of deformation. While cranial growth is necessary for the deformation of head shapes, it is also crucial to correcting head shapes. That being said, the growth rate of an infant’s head is most rapid at and around birth, continuing through the first few months of life. By three months of age, the rate of growth begins to decline and does so progressively over the first years of life. The above chart can be used as a predictor of growth for your childs head and can help accurately describe expected length of treatment.
